NRF7002DK boot up time

Hi,

We are evaluating NRF5340+NRF7002 setup for our customer. We are currently using https client example(sdk v3.0.2). I see that with this example the boot time of the application is excessively long. Please see the screenshot below... After the driver is initialized(first spike in current) there is a 8 second gap before any activity is can be seen on the chip. It looks to me like the driver initialization is taking too long. Is there a explanation for this boot time and how can we improve this?

Hi,

This is a known issue for build that use ns.

We are working on a fix but cannot say an expected time for which this will be done.

The non - ns - builds don't have this issue.

Thanks for the confirmation. Meanwhile if it helps, I have just noticed that if the crypto backend is changed to use CONFIG_HOSTAP_CRYPTO_ALT_PSA instead of HOSTAP_CRYPTO_ALT_LEGACY_PSA  this delay comes down to less than 2 seconds. But unfortunately, we are not able to use this backend because our customer is interested in WPA3.
