NRF-PPK2 Voltage Drop and Measurement Errors After Firmware Update

Hi All,

I am experiencing a significant voltage drop issue with the NRF-PPK2 device after a recent firmware update. When I set the source meter output to 3000mV (3.0V) at the Vin pin, I measure only approximately 2600mV (2.6V) at the Vout pin with no load connected. Increasing the source meter output to 3500mV results in about 3000mV at Vout, indicating a consistent voltage drop of around 500-600mV.

The device is otherwise disconnected, and no load is applied during measurement. I have verified that the source meter output voltage is stable and accurate. This voltage drop is affecting the accuracy of nanoampere-level current measurements, which is the primary purpose of using this device.

Additionally, when we use this faulty PPK2 device in an application where the working PPK2 normally measures current at the mA level accurately, the faulty device produces erratic and nonsensical measurement values.

Could you please advise if this behavior is expected after the firmware update, or if it indicates a possible hardware issue? Additionally, any recommendations on further troubleshooting steps or firmware rollback procedures would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support.
