Error in compiling samples/sensor/lps22hh on nRF52840 DK

Hello,

I am trying to build the sample/sensor/lps22hh project on nRF52840 DK and STEVAL-MKI220V1, but receive errors in build.

I have added an overlay file as in boards/nrf52840dk_nrf52840.overlay below: (the sensor CS pin is high, and SA0 is 0)

I have added the following include in main.c:

#include <zephyr/devicetree.h>

Also, modified line 54 in main.c to:

I am receiving the following warning and error in the log:

Hi Roya,

I received your files. Can you confirm whether you’ve tested with different sensors and boards? I want to be sure this isn’t a hardware issue. Zephyr probes the device at boot, and if it doesn’t receive a response, the device won’t be marked as ready, which leads to the error you’re seeing. I didn’t notice any immediate issues in your files.

Hi Benjamin,

You were right about the reason, it was a hardware issue.

Before testing the sensor with another board, I changed to i2c1, same issue happened; then checked the i2c pull-up resistors.

Since I am not using arduino board, shield_detect was always high. As suggested in nRF52840 DK user guide to short SB32, it resolved the problem.
