How to set up nRF52840 chip as a Dongle?

Hi,

I’m new to working with nRF MCU and I’ve just purchased an nRF52840. I want to use it with my own custom board, but I’m not sure where to start. I would like to use it in the same way as an nRF52840 Dongle. Could you please guide me on how to set it up and what software I need?

Hi,

I strongly recommend to order yourself an nRF52840-DK, which include full access to all pins, a programmer, a debugger, leds and buttons and easy to get started with all existing examples. The nRF52840 USB dongle is nice for demonstration after you have successfully made an application using the nRF52840-DK.

Hi,
I already got the nRF5340-DK and finished that course. Now I’m looking to build a project with my own custom board. I saw that the nRF52840 dongle can be programmed over USB, which looks really cool, and I’d like my board to be able to do the same. Do you have any tips on how to achieve that?
