I have been evaluating the DECT NR+ physical layer with nRF9161DK boards with the v3.0.2 DECT Shell sample application. I am wondering if there are going to be any specific DECT NR+ development training classes available on DevAcademy?
I understand that the samples for DECT are just for the physical layer, and there are some MAC like functions in the shell sample, but I would like to develop further and implement a full stack where I can send files back and fourth between two points taking advantage of the ~2.5 Mbps throughput I observe using the DECT perf commands. I found an older thread where someone asked about other stack offerings other than Wirepas and Lynq, and the response was to reach out to your local sales rep, which I have. I would be really interested if there are any full stack open source projects being developed.
I wrote some Python scripts that can take advantage of the DECT shell MAC beacon_start/scan functions for a server and client board and send data over the link using rach_tx, but I observe a 2000ms delay between sending packets, which I think has to do with the default beacon scan settings in the sample application.
Will Nordic release any further sample applications with the other stack features for DECT NR+ (MAC, DLC, CVG)? Possibly provide training classes with how to develop these other stack components in DevAcademy?
