How can we set TSPX_FAE, which is the identifier in IXIT?

Dear Sir and Madam,

Now we are trying to certify Bluetooth qualification for our wireless module used nRF54L15, we are considering how we can set TSPX_FAE identifier?

We don't have any frequency offset in our RF design. For instance, if we chose channel 0, the module set the carrier frequency 2402MHz without Xtal frequency error.

In this case, is TSPX_FAE zero, or needs to consider any other parameters, such as nRF54L15 IC or firmware design?

  • Hi, Hiroyuki-san.

Now we are trying to certify Bluetooth qualification for our wireless module used nRF54L15, we are considering how we can set TSPX_FAE identifier?

Do you have a reference to what you describe as "TSPX_FAE identifier"?

Which Bluetooth qualification are you working on?

    Best regards,
    Mathias

  • Hello Mathias-san,

Thank you for your quick reply. I'm so sorry for being late with my reply.

TSPX_FAE identifier is one of the parameters in the IXIT document from the Bluetooth SIG, which file name is "Core.IXIT_.p23.xlsx" and the sheet is "RHPHY." The parameter description is in cell "C48."
I want to know whether the parameter is decided nRF54 chip, including its firmware, or just our RF hardware design.
Please let me know the related documents if the TSPX_FAE identifier is related to the chip?

We are trying to get Bluetooth qualification version 6.0 with Channel Sounding function for our wireless module, which is using nRF54L15 chip and SoftDevice Controller for nRF54Lxx with CS v2.

I would appreciate it if you could give us the additional information.Core.IXIT_.p23.xlsx

  • Hi,

I am very sorry for the delays. I am investigating the matter, and expect to get back to you within a couple of days.

In any case I expect the values to be non-zero, since all RF systems will inevitably have some drift depending on the ppm rating of the clock source.

    Regards,
    Terje

  • Hi,

We have looked into the matter, including how those values are used in the tests. Based on what information is required and not, for performing the tests, our recommendation is:

    • In the "CS" sheet, leave the TSPX_cs_remote_fae_table blank
    • In the "RFPHY" sheet, put a 0 into the TSPX_FAE field

    Regards,
    Terje

  • Hello Terje-san,

    Thank you for the detail.
We appreciate your answer for being able to move forward with Bluetooth certification using this information.

    Best Regards,
