nPM1300 Error Handling

Hi,
I have been getting randomly errors status from pmic measurements including status 64 (trickle timeout, I presume). Do you have any sample code to handle errors as per https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ps_npm1300/page/chapters/charger.html#ariaid-title7.

Hi Mohsin,

You can clear and recover from nPM1300 charger errors by issuing the TASKCLEARCHGERR and TASKRELEASEERR tasks.

Errors are reported in BCHGERRREASON and BCHGERRSENSOR, and cleared with TASKCLEARCHGERR then released with TASKRELEASEERR.

Are you using the Zephyr native driver or npmx?

If you are using npmx, the errors are checked at least in the charger_and_events sample: https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/npmx-zephyr/tree/main/samples/charger_and_events

The underlying npmx driver for this is npmx_errlog.h: https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/npmx/blob/main/drivers/include/npmx_errlog.h

For the Zephyr driver, the charger error is read and printed in this sample:
