SLEEP MODE AND BLUETOOTH CONNECTION

Hi:

I'll be using the Raytac Bluetooth Module in my project.

Imagine that the Bluetooth Module has a Bluetooth connection established with the smartphone (Android or iPhone).

When the MCU (nRF52832 and nRF54L) enters System OFF,Sleep mode, will the Bluetooth connection be interrupted?

Is it possible to wake the MCU with a packet sent from the smartphone to the Raytac module?

What is the best strategy that can be used when the firmware is idle to reduce battery consumption without losing the Bluetooth connection?

Hi,

The chip is powered down in System OFF and a wakeup will trigger a reset. Maintaining a BLE connection in this mode is not possible. Instead, I recommend checking if you can tune the connection parameters to meet your power target. To help with this, you can use our  Online Power Profiler for Bluetooth LE
