nPM2100-EK no longer usable with nRF Connect

my nPM2100-EK can no longer connect to the PowerUP app....  all was working fine for the first few days, but no nothing....  the problem is the same on my PC and Mac....

when i launch PowerUP, it does detect the board:

but when i attempt to connect, the error messages roll continuously:

the board IS powered; the green LED is flashing about 2Hz....

i've currently select VEXT as my power source; but i get the same failure if i select VBAT and plugin a battery board....

from what i recall, this happened the VERY FIRST time i fired up the EK; but after some reboots, everything seemed to settle down -- until now....

is there a firmware image i could load onto the controller????

i'll verify again, but i believe all the jumpers are in their default configuration....

  • Hello,

Could you upload a picture of your evaluation board so we can confirm that all the jumpers are in the correct position?

If the jumper configuration looks fine, the issue might be that either the board or the PMIC is damaged and no longer operational. If you are not seeing 1.8V or 3V at VOUT, it could mean that VBAT is missing, the nPM2100 is damaged, or VOUT is shorted to GND on the board.

    Kind Regards,
