Auracast broadcast speaker + two-way data (source ↔︎ sink) — any official demo?

Hi Nordic,

I need to build an Auracast broadcast speaker (LE Audio BIS broadcaster). Besides audio, I also need two-way data exchange between the Auracast source and the sinks (for control/telemetry/group mgmt).

Is there an official demo or reference that combines:

  • Auracast broadcasting, and

  • a back-channel for sourceLeft right arrowsink data (e.g., PAwR/ESL, or ACL+GATT with PAST to deliver PADV sync)?

If no single demo exists, what’s the recommended approach and any controller scheduling limits I should be aware of when running Auracast + a data back-channel concurrently?

Environment: [nRF5340/nRF54L], NCS.

    No I do not think we have an official sample that does this exactly. We do have a broadcast sample along with this config which lets it do Auracast. Getting this working first, and then adding support for PAwR sounds like a good idea going forward, though we do not have a specific recommendation here for this use-case.

    Regarding doing this with PAwR though, note that SDC doesn't currently support creating a BIG from a PAwR advertiser, so you'll need two PA trains.
