NRF54L05 Voltage ripple range 0f DECA

Hi Nordic:

One of our products uses the NRF54L05, with the external capacitors for the DECA, DECD, and DECRF pins configured according to the reference circuit. The VDD supply is 3.3V. Currently, the measured voltage ripple at DECD and DECA is 73mV. Is this normal? If improvement is needed, which capacitor should be adjusted, and are there any requirements for the adjustment range of the capacitor value?

best regards!!

  • Hi,

I don't think 73mV is too bad. Though in case you need to improve this, maybe you could try adjusting the placement in the layout, i.e. try to place the DECD and DECA caps as close as possible to the pins on the SoC and also with a solid ground via next to these capacitors. And also try to make the traces as short as possible.
