What antenna type is required for FCC ID reuse in an end product? Can only the Ethertronics P822601 be used without filing for an FCC permissive change?
The FCC grant for the nRF9151 specifies the module can only be used with the antenna type used in the filing. The filing antenna document specifies the type is "RF4 Embedded LTE Antenna" (Ethertronics pn P822601) Per FCC KDB 996369 the antenna type should be monopole, PIFA, dipole, etc. and notes that an “omni-directional antenna” is not considered to be a specific “antenna type”
The Ethertronics P822601 datasheet claims the antenna is Isolated Magnetic Dipole. Can any dipole antenna that meets the gain limits be used with the original FCC ID?
