Full Solution Discussion (Hardware & Software for nRF9151 Tracking Product)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a small, battery-powered tracking device based on the Nordic nRF9151 SiP. The goal is to create a compact and energy-efficient product that can provide GNSS positioning and communicate over LTE-M/NB-IoT.

I plan to handle the hardware but not the firmware development and would like to get input from the community on how to design an optimal end-to-end solution , the best for me would be a existing software.
on the hardware side (antenna design, power management, PCB layout, etc.) and the software side (firmware structure, SDK choice, data transmission strategy, and power optimization).

I’m especially interested in hearing about:
– Recommended reference designs or modules for nRF9151 integration
– Best practices for low-power GNSS + LTE operation
– How to structure the software for efficient tracking and data upload
– Any tools or workflows that make development and testing easier

Any insights, experiences, or examples from similar projects would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
