Potentially fried nPM1304EK

I stupidly plugged a battery into a nPM1304EK port with the wrong polarity and now I repeatedly get the error "module_pmic: No response from PMIC.".  I've tried resetting the device and disconnecting/reconnecting it, but it will not come back.  Is there any hope for it?  If not, is the EK still useful for anything or is it just a recyclable at this point?

Hi

I think there is a high chance that PMIC is permanently damaged. 

Reversing the battery polarity can cause the IC to overheat and fail, especially if it was connected that way for more than a brief moment.

As a last check, could you measure VSYS, VOUT1, and VOUT2 while the battery is connected correctly with default EK configurations ?
If none of these rails are active, it’s likely the PMIC is no longer functional.

The battery directly is reading 3.8V. 

it's pretty odd... the readings all start at one value and then slowly decrease.  After removing the probe, it seems to slowly charge back up to its original value.  It seems to be basically the same when the battery isn't disconnected, so perhaps it's a capacitor.

VSYS is 230mV

VOUT1 is 112mV

VOUT2 is 400mV

The PMIC is dead. You may need to replace the IC or buy a new EK.
