nrf Connect does not present any options on welcome menu in activity panel

I am unable to see any options on the welcome menu for nrf connect

The menu was working yesterday,

I have uninstalled and re-installed and tried a previous version.

I have also uninstalled and re-installed visual studio.

Identified this was a permission issue on root directory,

Added Admin access and was able to see resources again.
