PPK2 not working on Linux PC while the same board works on windows.

I've installed the same version of the Power Profiler V4.3.1 on Linux and on windows.

On windows the device gets recognized straight away and I can use it, on Linux however it doesn't and I see the following message?

08:45:36.473 Selected device with the serial number CD5252433B3C

08:45:36.474 Note: no pre-compiled firmware is available for the selected device.

08:45:36.475 Error while setting up device with the serial number CD5252433B3C

08:45:36.475 "No device setup found"

08:45:36.475 Deselected device

Is there a fix I need to do to get the device from working?

My Linux system is:

Operating System: Linux Mint 22.2
Kernel: Linux 6.8.0-87-generic

Hi,

 

This sounds like a permission error on the ttyACM device.

Could you try adding an exception to udev? https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/nrf-udev

 

Remember to reboot the computer after installing this.
