Nrf9151 Custom Hardware and PTI

Greetings, I'm developing a custom hardware using nrf9151, i've tested the gpio and serial interfaces of the custom module and the work fine, when i try to flash the serial lte modem that i've built , it seems to work but, the version that is flashed is the PTI version and so i can only use PTI-related commands.

I'm building the same firmware to the dk and it works fine, when i use the same pin mapping on my custom board it also works fine, the problem arises when i try to use the SLM sample builded in VsCode.

The major difference from my custom board is the absence of an external flash memory, besides the devicetree entry and the FOTA, is the SLM tied to the external flash anywhere else?

first of all, have you seen our Developer Academy and the following courses:

nRF Conenct SDK Fundamentals

nRF Connect SDK Intermediate

Cellular IoT Fundamentals

These provide a good starting point for how to develop applications using nRF Connect SDK

Please download and program the latest modem FW v2.0.3 from the nRF9151 product page under Downloads. This should allow you to utilize all correct AT commands from the modem side.

Recommend starting with the new version, Serial Modem application in your development. Your application needs to have external flash in order to perform a full FOTA update. It's possible for modem delta updates without external flash. For full modem updates, external flash must be added. Have a look at Lesson 9 in the intermediate course (linked above).
