BLE streaming issues in a conference hall

Hi

my customers are complaining that they have a bad connection in a large conference hall with many people. 

Actually the other people in that huge room are not using any BLE devices. 

What might affect the throughput in a large room full of people, who have loads of BLE devices, but most probably no one is using a audio headset or alike in there?

Hi klaus1234,

To interfere with BLE, the devices don't need to be running BLE activities themselves, but merely active in the 2.4GHz band, which is shared with classic Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
With a lot of people in the hall, EM noise interference is expectable.
Please also keep in mind that the objects in the hall can also reflect and absorb the signal, causing further interference and signal degradation. The human body itself also absorbs RF signals a lot. Given the environment, I recommend first strategize where to place the devices to have a stable connection first.

As for throughput, I don't think it is possible to comment, given the number of varying factors at play.
