How to program application onto Thingy91:X

I am trying to create a custom version of the Asset Tracket Template for the Thingy 91:X.

I am using the VSCODE environment and created the application using the instructions under "Getting Started".

Two questions:

1. - if I get a message The firmware to program contains UICR data, but your device already has data there. How do I erase the Thingy91:X so that I can program.

2. Once I have done that, how to I program the Thingy91:X with the application created with VSCODE.

I have created the same application for the nRF9151 Dev Kit and it works easily as I simply use the Flash option under ACTIONS within VSCODE.

Hi,

To program with the nRF Connect for VS Code extension, you need to use a debugger. The Thingy:91 X does not have an onboard debugger, so an external debug probe is required in this case.

However, the Thingy:91 X can also be programmed through USB using MCUboot and nRF Util. You can find instructions for how to do this in Updating the Thingy:91 X firmware using nRF Util.
