NPM1300 VBUS Registers Not Updating

Hi 

I’m working with an NPM1300EK connected over I²C to an nRF54L15, and I’m seeing an issue where the VBUSINSTATUS register consistently reads back 0x00, even when VBUS is present. According to the documentation:
https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ps_npm1300/page/vbusin.html I should be seeing one or more status bits set whenever VBUS is supplied, but that never happens.

I²C communication seems solid — I can read other NPM1300 registers (device ID, version, etc.) without any issues.

Hardware connections (SCL/SDA, pull-ups, power) are correct.

The board is receiving 5 V on VBUS, and the power indicators confirm it’s active

If anyone has run into this before or has guidance on what might cause VBUSINSTATUS to stay at zero, I’d really appreciate any insights.

Hi,

Yes, I am using the guide for connecting to the nrf54l15Dk in the NPM1300 one button sample. 

I used the pins prescribed here. https://docs.nordicsemi.com/bundle/ncs-latest/page/nrf/samples/pmic/native/npm13xx_one_button/README.html

Could you post the exact commands you are using to read this register? And a serial log?
