Dual mode dual chip solution

I would like to have BLE using 51822 and audio using a separate BT classic chip on my device. Are there any products in the market that use separate BT chips for LE and classic and maintain both connections to the same master? Would there be interference problems with a solution using 2 BT chips?

  • Hi Jeff,

Yes, there would. Especially, if they don't talk to each other to know when one is in a transmission and the other should yield. Or to avoid using the same channel at the same time.

I don't think having 2 separate chip is what we would recommend for our customer. If you really need both LE and classic, I think it's the best to use combo chip. Unfortunately, Nordic don't do Bluetooth classic or combo.
