Is Accurate RTC required for Google FMDN locator tag?

Hi,

I am working on developing Locator Tag using NCS fast pair sample code. I have one query here. Is Accurate RTC required for Google FMDN locator tag? If device loose its RTC for some reason then is clock syncing required for accurate location tracking?

Yes, as stated in the specification n here: https://developers.google.com/nearby/fast-pair/specifications/extensions/fmdn#power-loss it's important that the clock is kept synchronized.

Hi Vidar,

One question here. If I lost my device and its clock become inaccurate for some reason then how its clock synchronization occur in such cases. Is device clock synchronize with owner's phone only or other FMD network phone can correct clock?

If you are mainly talking about the below portion from the link then can you clarify me that is any seeker (apart from owner phone) can synchronize the device clock in the field if device advertise non-discoverable fast pair frame?
