current measurement on nrf52 DK

Hi. Currently, i am testing the BLE power consumption on nrf52.I set connection interval 20ms(min=10,max=30) ,slave latency 0 and connection data size 20 bytes.in addition,I use 3v battery to power up the DK.

the attached picture shows the measurement result in connection mode. image description

1> why is the DC RMS so high? according to the current measurement tut, the Avg current is just 60uA under connection mode with 100ms.

2> what is the square ware in the picture?

Best Regards

    1. It looks like something is wrong with your oscilloscope setup. Ground on both probes are connected to the same as the kit right? No USB cable connected to the kit? Do you have a high resolution mode under that "Acq mode" button there? Use that.

I would recommend checking with a regular ampere-meter first to see if you actually have 6.5 mA DC current.

If you still see high DC current:
Are you using your own application code? Try with the ble_peripheral/pwr_profiling application instead.

    1. This is noise from somewhere and shouldn't be there. You are measuring over P22 right, and have prepared the kit like described in this tutorial? devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../

Which version of the kit do you have?
