Thingy9161 PCA20064 default modem firmware and nrf cloud application

Hi Nordic team,

I received a Thingy91 sample last year, however on loading mfw_nrf91x1_2.0.2 and app: thingy91x_hello.nrfcloud.com_v2.0.2_debug.hex it is unresponsive and shows no output on its serial ports.

HW: nRF9161 LACA ADA

1. MFW tested:2.0.0, 2.0.2, 2.0.3

 

Please provide instructions for loading compatible firmware and app. Thanks

Have you followed Quick Start Guide?

Please also provide additional  information about the files mfw_nrf91x1_2.0.2 and app: thingy91x_hello.nrfcloud.com_v2.0.2_debug.hex? Where did you get these files from?

Hi Dejan,
The quick start fails to install the nrf53 connectivity bridge. I also tried installing directly from the thingy91x release with no luck

What version of 
1. nrf9161 modem firmware
2. nrf53 firmware - connectivity bridge
3. hello-nrf application software

are compatible with this engineering sample device I have? nRF9161 LACA ADA -PCA20064

When I go to the https://hello.nrfcloud.com/ and enter the device fingerprint, I get:
Fingerprint: f8.exm53k
clear
Unsupported model
The application does not support the model specified for this device (oob-355025930003411).

Hi,

You can look at Thingy91X and nrf9161 modem Downloads page. Thingy91X zip contains connectivity bridge. You should be able to use modem firmware v2.0.x.

Hi, I have tried all available v2.0.x firmware versions, all packaged connectivity bridge versions.

The only output I can see via UART with any application loaded is:

It seems that precompiled package for Thingy91X is based on nrf9151.
Can you please contact your regional sales manager for potential replacement?
