Questions regarding nRF9151 DK v0.9.0 Errata

Hello,

I’m trying to understand the background of the issue described in nRF9151 DK v0.9.0 Errata. Could someone explain what caused it and, if possible, give an idea of its impact on receiver sensitivity? Even a rough estimate, just an order of magnitude, would be really helpful.

One more thing – which distributors currently have the updated DK boards available? Any guidance on where to find them would be great.

Thanks a lot for any insights!

Best regards,
Michal

  • Hello Michal,

One more thing – which distributors currently have the updated DK boards available? Any guidance on where to find them would be great.

This has to go through our sales team. Please contact your local regional sales director to get more information. If you do not know this person, please send me a DM with your location and I will provide contact details.

I will reach out internally to get more details. I hope to have an answer by end of tomorrow.

    Kind regards,
    Øyvind

  • Hello,
Just checking if there’s any update on what caused it and what the impact on receiver sensitivity might be. Even a rough estimate would help.
    Thanks!

  • Hello, and thanks for your patience on this matter. I apologies for the late response.

Here is the answer I got back from our team:

The protection against USB noise isn't sufficient and if you have a USB connector that is generating/prone to noise it will make the problem visible. Almost impossible to quantify as it depends on the USB port it connects to. Absolute worst case would be complete loss, but with the wording I'm guessing anything from -6dB to -12dB could easily occur and worse if it's a bad USB port. Workaround is described and would do the trick to be able to compare actual performance.

Let me know if anything is unclear.

    Kind regards,
    Øyvind
