Inquiries about the communication modulation method of nRF24L01 and the security of ESB Protocol

In the process of obtaining DNV approval for products equipped with modules including nRF24L01+, I have some questions about wireless communication.

1. Does nRF24L01+ meet the wireless communication system specifications specified in IACS URE22?

2. Does the FHSS or DSSS apply? If not, which method is similar?

3. Is MAC Address specified for each product?

4. Does ESB Protocol comply with IEEE 802 standard?

  • The nRF24L01+ is a transceiver only, the "protocol" (ESB) it has is very limited. The functionality purely depends how it's implemented and controlled by the host MCU. ESB can only do packet acknowledge and re-transmitting of lost packets, any other functions are controlled by the host MCU.

You must direct these questions whoever that owns and has designed the system.
