How to join an existing Thread Network with Thread Topology Monitor 0.13.0

Hi.

Using Thread Topology Monitor and NRF52840-DONGLE I'm able to connect to the device and getting the UDB device to be a Thread Leader.

But how can I join an existing Thread Network. I have 2 Thread Networks running. AHomey and a Homekit network.

Especiallly the Network Master Key is very unknown to be.

It it really possible to do ?

  • You can only join an existing Thread network if you have the correct credentials, including the Network Master Key, which usually must be obtained from the commissioner or border router managing that network. If you’re dealing with commercial ecosystems like HomeKit, those credentials are typically not exposed, so commissioning a new device through the vendor app is often the only practical method. @fnf
