nRF21540 interface with nRF52832

Hello ,

We have recently started the evaluation of the nRF21540 Front-End Module and would like your guidance on the recommended SDK version for this device.

Currently, our development is based on nRF5_SDK_17.1.0_ddde560. Please advise whether this SDK is suitable for nRF21540 evaluation, or if you recommend migrating to a different SDK or framework (for example, a specific nRF5 SDK version or nRF Connect SDK).

Additionally, we kindly request you to share any reference example projects or application notes demonstrating the correct hardware and software interface between the nRF21540 and compatible nRF52832

Hi,

I recommend you migrate to nRF Connect SDK. That old nRF5 SDK is no longer under development. This is a generic recommendation, but particularily important if you use Bluetooth as there is no support for using nRF21540 with BLE in nRF5 SDK and SoftDevice.

The nRF21540 DK can serve as a reference/example hardware project. This is using nRF52840, but the FEM related parts are equally relevant for nRF52832. Schematics and layout can be downloaded here.
