nPM2100 disable SHPHLD button for entering ship mode

Hello,

We have some hardware that uses the nPM2100 in roughly the 'one button' configuration where the SHPHLD signal is used for the reset button as well. When the reset button functionality is configured to be on the SHPHLD signal via the PIN register, I understand that it will enter ship mode for a press between 2 and 10 seconds, and will reset the power (and not enter ship mode) for a press of longer than 10 seconds. We are looking to disable the 'enter ship mode' with SHPHLD functionality via software as this can lead to a confusing user experience. Ship mode could then only be entered via the task register, and pressing the reset/SHPHLD button when in active mode would only respond to the 10 second press for a power reset, and would not enter ship mode.

Is this possible? I do no see any register options in the nPM2100 datasheet that would allow us to disable the entering of ship mode through the button press.

I see in this previous thread a suggestion that ship mode functionality can be disabled via the PWRBUTTON field in the STICKY registers, but there is very little description of this in the datasheet and it doesn't look like the suggested information from the thread has made it into any new version of that document.

Thanks,

Ben
