NRF54L15 TIMER P2 PULSE OUTPUT

Hi Nordic,

On the NCS3.0.2+NRF54L15 platform, we intend to generate pulse widths by controlling P2.1 and P2.5 through timer+PPI. Originally, we planned to use PPI for operation as we did on NRF52840, but later discovered that the on NRF54L15 P2 port does not support GPIOTE. Currently, we are generating pulse widths within interrupts, but when the pulse width is less than 20μs, the generated pulse widths become highly unstable. Are there any alternative methods available to produce stable and adjustable pulse width signals on the P2 port, within the range of 10μs to 1000μs?

Unfortunately there are no workarounds for making a pin on P2 automate toggles. The only way is to do with CPU driven state changes which will behave jittery in that pulse width range. Can't you use for example pin from P1 and repurpose that pin to P2 through external circuit? I do not see any other workarounds apart from that.

Thanks for the reply, Since there are no free P1 ports available on this version of hardware to support this modification, may I ask if DMA or DPPI or other methods can be used to accomplish this?

Unfortunately no, no DMA or DPPI combo can be used here without a DETECT signal wired to port P2.
