hi,

can anyone help me with this issue that i'm getting while i try to connect VCOM port and run the program. i got the one message from it is access is denied and i try to connect with other VCOM port it doesn't showing me nothing and i did restart vs code, programmer app, cellular monitor app from nrf connect desktop but still vs code showing me this error access denied one. i'm using nRF9160DK.

Hi,

You have to choose the same COM port in the software as the one assigned to the device in Device Manager. Have you checked in Device Manager which COM port is for your device? According to the exercise, in nRF Terminal this should be VCOM0 COM6 but it may be different for you.

Another option is using the Serial Terminal app in nRF Connect for Desktop. Here, once you select your device, it should automatically connect to one of the COM ports. If you try to "Disconnect", you should see all the available COM ports for the device under "Serial Port". Here, you can try to choose a different COM port and see if it works. If you change the COM port, you can also try pressing the reset button on the DK.
