TF-M support for non-Nordic MCUs

Hi Everyone,

I use Zephyr from nRF Connect SDK and I am trying to build a tf-m sample application (zephyr/samples/tfm_integration/psa_protected_storage) for non-Nordic targets and it fails. It looks like it builds correctly only for nRF targets. Is that intended and I should go for a vanilla Zephyr when it comes to developing for other chips?

Hi Damian,

Yes, that's right. The nRF Connect SDK is basically tailored and intended for use on Nordic SoCs.

The TF-M there is mainly supported for a defined set of Nordic boards, which you can find here:

So you would need to use the upstream/“vanilla” Zephyr instead of the nRF Connect SDK fork.
