hi,

i'm trying to add the device into the nrf cloud but i can't see the option that mentioned in 7.3 and 7.4. so, how can i add my device withot this option into the nrf cloud and i'm using nrf9160DK. when i click on thingy91/DK option it moves to this other document page.

Hi Vivek,

There seems to be some outdated material here. In the mean time you can follow the Local onboarding guide. You will need your nRF Cloud API key. You can find this here:

hi,

i'm getting the error, when i registered the device with this command from 3. steps device_credentials_installer -d --ca *_ca.pem --ca-key *_prv.pem --coap --verify --delete

and because of this error this process didn't go through. can you suggest me to what to do for this error.

Do you have the DK connected to your computer? You can confirm it is visible by running nrfutil device list on the command line.

Yes, The DK was connected with the system but after some time i disconnect & close the cellular monitor app and serial terminal app then after i run this device_credentials_installer command in command line and it go through successfully. i don't know it's because of those applications.

There you go! Those applications were occupying the COM port so nrfutil couldn't communicate with the DK.
