Penguin ID - Question about HCI USB

My customer Penguin ID has the following question about HCI USB for the nRF54LM20A. He claims this is only on the old Zephyr stack and not on the new one. Can you please comment on this issue? Is there a misunderstanding in his knowledge? I thought the HCI USB zephyr project could be targeted towards any Nordic BLE MCU, is this is not the case?

From Penguin ID:

Is there any development from Nordic on HCI USB working on nRF54?

But instead of old stack, for the new one.

  • Hi Zachary,

Could you give me more information about why you think hci usb is not supported on nRF54LM20A ? Which is the old one and which is the new one ?

Please be noted that we don't develop the Zephyr BLE stack, what we recommend is the Nordic's Softdevice BLE stack. I did a quick test here and can build the hci_usb sample fine with nrf54lm20dk/nrf54lm20a/cpuapp board. (NCS v3.2.0)
