Hello DevZone,
I have some questions about nPM1300. I know that nPM1300 need a battery pack that already contains a PCM.
When the PCM activate the protection due to overdischarge, overcharge or overcurrent, how can nPM1300 deactivate this protection?
This can be broken to more small questions:
1. When the PCM activate the protection, the VBAT is 0V, is that correct?
2. When the VBAT is 0V, will the nPM1300 try to apply a voltage to the battery to remove the prortection status? Or do I have to set BCHGVBATLOWCHARGE to start trickle charging?
3. I saw this errata. When the PCM needs a voltage higher than Vterm*0.95 to remove protection, we need to raise the Vterm... But I don't understand this, how can I control the voltage of trickle charging? And I noticed that this errata has been fixed in nPM1300 revision 2. So what is the behavioral pattern of nPM1300 revision2 in this situation?
Best regards,
Jayant
