NRF5340 stuck in bootloop after bad flash

I have an NRF5340 running the B0 secure bootloader and dual S0,S1 bootloaders along with my app image.

During flashing, the image was not fully flashed and resulted in a corrupted image causing the device to continuously bootloop and is unresponsive.
I have tried nrfjprog --eraseall -f NRF53 and nrfjprog --recover -f NRF53 to no avail.

Is there a way I can recover the device to load firmware without having to remove and replace the nrf5340 IC.

Could you try to recover the device using nrfutil? Please try recovering the network core before recovering the application core. You can follow the steps mentioned under 'Recovering a Protected Device'.

"nrfutil device recover" worked, though I am not sure what is fundamentally different from "nrfjprog --recover"
