nRF54LM20 DK VDD:nRF

Hi there,

I was designing an add-on development board to go onto the development kit to test a 1.8V application. I need VDD:nRF on the 54LM20 to be set as the same as VDD:IO of 1.8V instead of directly the USB power. I have shorted SB21 and achieved VDD:IO toi go from 3v0 to 1v8, how could I change VDD:nRF to the same? Can I just short R43?

Hi,

You can  set the VDD voltage on the DK using the Board Configurator app. It looks like this. Remember to press the "Write config" button for the changes to take effect.

Note: VDD:nRF and VDD:IO should always be the same. The configuration you have now may allow them to be separated and you should make sure they are the same.

How can I make them the same? Just short them through which resistor?

The board handled this in the default configuration. You should run with that and use the tool Einar linked to to actually change the operating voltage. So shorting SB21 makes this an issue and should only be done if you need it and then you have to handle this during use.

Undone the SB bridge4 and used nRF Connect! Was unaware of the voltage-setting feature, thanks all sorted!
