nRF52840 DK Not Showing Up in Device Manager

Hello!

I've been trying some of the solutions around these forums but I can't seem to get my nRF52840 DK to show up on my device manager so I'm unable to flash anything on it with JLINK.

1. Tried swapping usb cables. Tried another PC

2. Tried redownloading Segger JLink drivers and made sure the legacy USB drivers were selected

3. Tried holding the reset button, unplugging/powering down the DK, plugged back in, waited a couple seconds, then released reset. No drive called bootloader popped up

4. usb is plugged into the short side of the DK board. VDD is selected. nRF only is set to default.

5. LED5 is flashing rapidly. LED1 was breathing, but after holding the reset button and powering it down/on. It is no longer breathing

Anything else I can try?

Rapidly flashing LED5 = no USB host detected. Issues with USB cable.

Which version of the DK do you have? 1/2 or 3? If 1/2 try to power cycle the board to get the LED5 blinking rapidly again. Else you will need to drag and drop the old FW hex file onto the device after fixing the USB cable.

Went and bought some new cables. It ended up working! Thanks
