Mesh support Directed Forwarding&Remote Provisioning?

Hi,

Excuse me, does the current Mesh(NCS 3.2.4) support Directed Forwarding and Remote Provisioning? The examples in NCS 3.2.4 don’t seem to include configurations for the Directed Forwarding Configuration Server Model. How do I configure and use the Directed Forwarding Configuration Server Model? Do you have any references for this?

  • Hello,

An update on this. Current mesh (NCS 3.2.4) does not support Directed Forwarding. Remote provisioning has been supported and qualified however please note that currently this is not in any sample. Also, do have a look at the updated documentations in my previous reply. Can you please explain a bit more about your use case for the Directed forwarding feature?

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Samruddhi,

In Mesh 1.0, all relay nodes forward messages. In Mesh 1.1, a transmission path is pre-established, and messages are transmitted along the preset optimal path, with only the nodes on that path participating in forwarding. This significantly reduces network load and improves efficiency and scalability in large-scale networks. I consider this to be a core feature of Mesh 1.1. Since Nordic promotes support for Mesh 1.1, I would like to know when they plan to update and support this feature.

    Best Regards,

    John
