Hello,
We currently use an nRF51822 device in our product with the top marking QFABC0.
We understand that NRF51822-QFAB is the ordering part number, and that QFABC0 is the top marking / hardware revision identifier on the device.
Before purchasing new parts, we would like to confirm compatibility between the different hardware revisions.
Could you please advise whether newer revisions of NRF51822-QFAB can be used as a compatible replacement for a device marked QFABC0?
Specifically, we would like to know if there are any known differences that may affect:
-
Hardware compatibility
-
Firmware compatibility
-
SoftDevice / SDK compatibility
-
Bluetooth performance
-
Current consumption
-
Memory size
-
Pinout or electrical behavior
At this stage, we do not have access to the firmware, SDK, or SoftDevice version used in our product.
We understand that final confirmation may require testing in our product, but we would like to know if there are any known restrictions or risks from Nordic’s side when replacing QFABC0 with a newer revision of NRF51822-QFAB.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Yosi
