Inquiry Regarding Development of the nRF54L Series with NCS Bare Metal and DFU Support

Dear Nordic Technical Support Team,

I would like to inquire about the following regarding the nRF54L series development:

1. Can I develop for the nRF54L series using the nRF Connect SDK (NCS) Bare Metal mode? Will this approach allow me to reduce the RAM and flash footprint of my application? (I am asking because the program size with the current NCS-based development for nRF54L05 does not meet my requirements.)

2. Does the Bare Metal mode support the development of a dual-slot DFU (Device Firmware Update) scheme?

3. Is the development workflow similar to that of the legacy nRF5 SDK?

I would appreciate any guidance or documentation you can provide on these topics.

1. Yes, the Bare Metal SDK is designed for simple applications for the nRF54L series that doesn't need the full RTOS feature set.

2. No, the bare metal SDK supports single bank DFUs.

3. Not entirely, it's designed as a stepping stone when moving from the nRF5 SDK to the nRF Connect SDK.
