NFC Launch App sample not working on nRF54L15 DK (NCS v3.2.1)

Hi,

I'm using the nRF54L15 DK with nRF Connect SDK v3.2.1. For testing NFC, I'm running the NFC Launch App sample.

The application builds and flashes successfully, and I can see the following logs:

*** Booting nRF Connect SDK v3.2.1-d8887f6f32df ***
*** Using Zephyr OS v4.2.99-ec78104f1569 ***
Starting NFC Launch app sample
NFC configuration done

However, the LED continues blinking, and the NFC Launch App does not work as expected. The phone does not detect the NFC tag.

I have the following questions:

1. Does the nRF54L15 DK use the same NFC antenna as the nRF52833 DK?

2. If so, what could be the possible reasons why the NFC tag is not being detected on the nRF54L15 DK?

3. Are there any additional hardware settings, board configurations, or Kconfig options that need to be enabled specifically for the nRF54L15 DK?

Any suggestions on how to debug this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.

Ensure you connect the NFC antenna on nRF54L15DK correctly. 

Are there any additional hardware settings, board configurations, or Kconfig options that need to be enabled specifically for the nRF54L15 DK?

No. I can get the expected behavior with the unmodified sample. Please delete the build folder, build again, and flash after erasing/recovering the DK.

Hi Amanda,

Thank you for your suggestions. I'll check the NFC antenna connection again, erase/recover the DK, rebuild the sample from a clean build, and test it. I'll let you know if it works.
