Visual Studio Code: Default device/programmer to flash

Dear Community,

Hopefully an easy one:

Is there anyway to make the flash programmer selection stick in nRF Connect for VS Code? 

Every-time I click on Flash to program a device, it brings up the following selection:



I'm running the following 

nRF Connect for VS Code 2026.8.2347
Visual Studio Code 1.132.1
Windows 11
nRF52840-DK

I only have one programmer/development kit connected:



I don't recall it always being this way.

Hi Craig,

Click the Link Build Configuration and Device button next to your build configuration in the Actions View. Once linked, the Flash action will always target that linked device without prompting.

you can unlink for here too, if you wish to use other jlink and again link that jlink from here only.

Brilliant, Thanks Nishant. I have it working. 

I was looking at options around the flash and connected devices, I didn't think of looking at the build options.
