nRF93M1 DK Fimrware Version

Hi,

I am developing firmware on the nRF93M1 DK and have a question regarding the Wi-Fi location feature. According to the Nordic documentation (Features of nRF93M1 — nRF Connect SDK 3.4.99), it states that: "The module scans 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi access points using DSSS and reports the results. nRF Cloud resolves the access point list to a position." However, I cannot find or use this functionality on my device. The documentation appears to describe firmware version 1.5.x, while the module I am using is currently running firmware version 1.4.x. Could you please let me know when firmware version 1.5.x will be released, or whether Wi-Fi location is available in version 1.4.x?

Hello,

I would recommend you to update the modem firmware version to 1.5.0 using HTTP download. You can take a look at the following example to update mFW with base version 1.4.1 to 1.5.0:

 AT%HTTPFOTADL="http://firmware.nrfcloud.com/93m1/mfw_nrf93m1_update_from_1.4.1_to_1.5.0.bin",100

The command is :

%HTTPFOTADL=<HTTP_URL>[,<download_URC_max>]

Hello,

Thank you for your information. I successfully updated the firmware to version 1.5.0.

However, I have another question. In standard 3GPP modems, the AT+CSQ command typically returns a signal quality value ranging from 0-31 or 99. On the nRF93M1, the behavior appears to be different.

Could you please advise how to obtain the equivalent signal quality information on the nRF93M1, similar to the result provided by the AT+CSQ command on standard 3GPP modems?

The 3GPP standard AT+CESQ can be used.
