Problem installing CHIP tool

I am using SDK 2.7.0. When trying to install the CHIP tool, I get the error - view below.

I have tried everything - it seems that the OAuth client is hardcoded into the SDK. Could you please help with a remedy.

  • Hi,

Are you on Linux or macOS?

I was not able to reproduce the issue on my side (Ubuntu 24.04), so it does not seem to be an issue with the OAuth client ID in v2.7.0.

It could be the network. Are you behind a corporate proxy, firewall, or VPN? If so, can you try without VPN or with a different network?
Since the issue is reaching https://ci.chromium.org, can you see if you can reach it directly from your network? For example, with

    curl -I https://ci.chromium.org

It might also help clearing CIPD credentials and cache:

    cipd logout
    rm -rf ~/.cipd-cache
    rm -rf ~/.cipd-cache-dir

Have you tried newer versions of the SDK?

    Best regards,
    Marte

  • I am running macOS.

    I can reach directly:

    HTTP/2 405

    content-type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

    allow: GET, OPTIONS

    x-content-type-options: nosniff

    x-cloud-trace-context: e39af654636f95d54248ce4268b9533b

    content-length: 19

    cipd logout does not work.

Tried many tricks including erasing cache - nothing works.

I could change SDK - works smooth with e.g. SDK 3.0.0 , but it is cumbersome - would love to stay on current SDK.
