3D model of the nRF52 Development Kit?

Hello, I am doing a bachelor thesis using the nRF52 Development Kit to control a (RC ) car, and I am 3D-printing holders for extra peripherals. During the 3D-modeling and -printing process I have also 3D-modeled the car itself, but I have yet to make a model of the nRF52 DK.

The thing is, I came across a 3D model of the Development Kit in a PDF that also contained schematics and PCB-drawings, but I can't for the life of me find the source files.

I was wondering if anyone knew if the raw 3D-files were available somewhere, and if it would be possible to get access to them.

I would really like to include the 3D model of the DK in an exploded view of all the parts used, as well as to make it show how other peripherals and fastenings would look on the car itself.

Worst case, I'll have to 3D model the DK myself, but it would be great if I wouldn't have to, as it would save me a lot of time! :)

Thanks

  • Hello Heminio,

This is a really old case, luckily I was the original poster and now work for Nordic, so I got a notification about your reply and can help you out.

I generally suggest creating a new case if you have questions like these, then you'll get a swift reply.

To answer your question: The PDK files are very old at this moment and there are a lot newer revisions of the proper nRF52840 Development Kit.

Let me know what version of the nRF52840 Development Kit you have and I can generate STEP-files for you.

    Best regards,

    Martin Sivertsen
