Warning messages Running First Blinky Example

Hi

I'm using NRF54L15 DK from Nordic.  I have installed VS Code and NRF Connect SDK and toolchain V3.4.1.

I'm following the Fundamentals course, and doing Lesson 1, exercise 2, Build and flash first application.

I have followed each step and getting some warning messages i would please like support resolving, I have spent a few hours trying to fix the issue.

After I add the build configuration, and click generate and build, the build compiling process works ok, but I have the following warnings:  

In the terminal I get under Problem tab: 

Kconfig Language Server cannot start for build 'build'. Try rebuilding or do the pristine build to fix this issue.

The GPIO drivers must be enabled by CONFIG_GPIO to be included in the build

I do repeat pristine build and have the same warnings.

In main.c I get following warning:

#include <zephyr/drivers/gpio.h>

The compiling and flashing works ok and the program seems to run fine.

If I select nrf Kconfig GUI, it does not open and I get following warning: Unable to find Kconfig information.

After reverting the nRF Kconfig extension to version 2026.6.334, the Kconfig GUI works correctly again and the warning messages are gone.

Environment:

• nRF Connect SDK: 3.4.1

• nRF Kconfig extension: 2026.9.356 <-- This was the cause of the warnings and Kconfig GUI not working.

• Working extension version: 2026.6.334

• VS Code

This appears to be a regression introduced in nRF Kconfig extension version 2026.9.356.

Thank you for reporting. I am glad to hear that you were able to resolve your issue with a different version. I will look into what might cause this with the .356 version.
