nRF Cloud returns rate-limited

Hi

I am working with nRF Cloud - using a developer account (limited to 10 devices).

After connecting a few times with a device (using a different serial each time), I get the response (to check for updates): rate-limited.

Q1: Which rate does this refer to - i.e. I cannot check for updates more than n times a day?

Q2: Is this just for the developer account? We also have a professional account, which we intend to use soon to update a lot of devices - will there be similar constraints on that account?

    Hi Garrett,

    There is a limitation for how many times a device can connect to Memfault in order to check for updates. The daily limit is 100 checks per day for each device. Can you confirm whether you are sing a Linux device? If you are using a Linux device, it is 6 checks per day. Also, if the device connects too often (for ex. per minute), it can also fill up the daily limit and the limit will be reset the next day. Have you tried the Server-Side Developer mode? This is supposed to remove the limit temporarily. I would recommend you to take a look at the following documentation: Rate Limiting

    I believe the limit applies to all devices and not just developer accounts.
