nRF Boards debug out Cable and its adapter

I currently have nRF52/53/54 Development Kits and would like to utilize their onboard J-Link debugger by connecting through the Debug-Out Port (P19). However, I have observed that the header pin spacing and connector size on this port are quite small, which makes direct interfacing difficult.

Could you please advise on the correct procedure to access and utilize these signals? Additionally, kindly share links to procure the required cable and adapter needed to bring these signals out to a breadboard-compatible format.

  • The NRF53DK has those debug pins on another pin header with a more traditional spacing (2.54mm IIRC). Use that one for breadboard connections. Pinout/how to use is in its documentation.

I believe recommending 3rd party products is a TOS violation here (read: SPAM). But there should be adapters from 1.27mm ARM layout to other plugs available online elsewhere

The debug connectors are supposed to follow specifications from ARM - thus you should probably look them up in the debug specifications for the Cortex-M cores on arm.com website.
