Is my PPK2 broken ?

Hi, 

I have been using  NRF PPK2 for two months, 

today when the device was connected to docking station and only ground to DUT I notised "High current surge in the USB port" indication on my laptop.

PPK2 got hot, I disconnected everything, measured resistance on USB connector gnd to +5V, it was 200K.

So, after a while I connected PPK2 again to docking station.Device was recognized properly, I connected 1K resistor to gnd and Vout, I set Vout to 3V and

switched the output on. Everything was looking good , not burned, except for current values showed on plot.

Shown current is much too low than it should be, moreover it oscillated.

I refleshed the device by shortening TP34 to the ground(described in other ticket here) but no change.

Please advice whether there is any way to get it working properly.

Hi,

Ah. It could be that it is fried.

Just to check something that is frequently mentioned as a good test though, could you try the following sample and steps mentioned here?

Hello,

the link points to measuring power consumption of nrf53DK board, currently I do not have any nrf boards.

Do you think that simple test with 1K resistor that I did is not reliable enough ?
